Dover District Sports Spectacular
Duke of York’s Royal Military School
Thursday 11th April 2024 10am – 6pm
Alongside our partners, we’re excited to bring you the biggest ever sports day, the Dover district has ever seen!
This FREE event will feature:
- Workshops (10am – 12pm) a host of free workshops delivered by partner agencies targeted directly at local sport clubs.
- Taster sessions (12pm - 3pm) find out what’s on your doorstep with free taster sessions provided by local clubs.
- Live sports (3pm - 6pm) take a deserved rest and watch our best local clubs go head-to-head, as they compete for the spectacular trophy.
Workshops
From 10am, the event will open to local sport clubs, where infomative workshops will be delivered by our partners Buddle and Active Kent & Medway. These workshops will include:
- Volunteer experience
- Future planning
- Promoting your offer using social media
- Raising money

Taster Sessions
From 12pm, the event will open to the public, where a host of local sport clubs will be in attendance providing exciting taster sessions. Not only will you be blown away by the local offer, but you'll have the opportunity to kick, throw and swing your way into getting more active this year.
Live sports
At 3pm, local sport clubs will take to the stage, in a head to head match, as they compete for the spectacular trophy! Stay tuned for the full line up in due course.
