Kent Housing Group

The Kent Housing Group (KHG) is a forum for housing organisations in Kent and Medway. KHG has representation from all twelve Kent local authorities, Medway Council, thirteen housing associations, three support providers, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Service, Kent County Council and Kent Public Health.

The Group also has representatives from several organisations who work closely with local authorities, including Homes England, the National Housing Federation, the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) and the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP). 

KHG have produced several documents in collaboration with local authorities.

  • Kent and Medway Housing Strategy 2020 - 2025 'A pace people want to call home'. "This strategy document is a high level strategic document, which sets out the key ambitions for Kent and Medway in relation to housing, focused across five themes that were identified through an extensive consultation process which include: Health and Wellbeing, Working Together for Safer Homes, Infrastructure First, Accelerating Housing Delivery and Affordability."
  • A Guide to Developing Affordable Homes in Rural Communities."This guide is a series of factsheets setting out how rural housing development can be achieved, and who can benefit. This document has been written collaboratively with other local authorities across Kent."
