How to pay your rent
Your rent is due weekly on a Monday. We are able to accept rent payments weekly, fortnightly or monthly, in advance, to suit you.
- Direct Debit – The Council’s preferred method of payment. Please complete our Direct Debit Form or either phone (01304) 872199 or visit any of the Council’s area offices.
- Standing Order – If you would like to pay using this method you have the choice of paying either weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can select any day of the month that is suitable to your requirements. For a standing order mandate either phone (01304) 872199 or visit any of the Council’s area offices.
- By debit or credit card – You can pay online using our online payments system or alternatively you can phone (01304) 872345 or visit any of the Council’s area offices. A surcharge is made for all credit card payments.
- By post – send a crossed cheque or postal order with your rent account number written on the back, made payable to Dover District Council (not an individual officer) to Revenues, Council Offices, White Cliffs Business Park, Dover, Kent CT16 3PJ
We will only send you a receipt if you ask for one.
- By Post Office giro – use the forms available at any Post Office. State the account number and make it payable to Dover District Council Account Number 310 4125. You will have to pay a transaction fee.
- In person – all payment methods will be accepted at any of the Council’s ‘DDC @ your service’ area offices detailed below:
- Castle Street, Dover (Monday to Friday)
- Town Hall, High Street, Deal (Monday to Friday)
- The Guildhall, Sandwich (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
- Boulevard Courrieres, Aylesham (Monday & Wednesday)
