Concessionary Travel

The Government have announced that from the 6 of April 2010, the
age of eligibility for the concessionary travel for women will be
pension age and for men it will be the pensionable age of a woman
born on the same day.

Residents of Dover District who are aged 60 or over (to change from 6 April 2010) or who have
certain types of disability can claim a bus pass that provides
free, off peak, local bus travel throughout England. As an
alternative Dover District Council offers some residents of the
district travel vouchers, which can be used to pay for taxi
fares.
All customers applying for a travel concession must have lived
or intend to live in this district for a period of not less than 6
months.

Please also provide 1 recent passport size and style
photo with your application. Please write your name and date of
birth on the back of the photo and enclose it in an envelope
attached to the form.
The 2009 Concessionary Travel Voucher survey has now
closed. The winner of the £30 worth of travel vouchers is Mr Dean
from Deal.
