Multi Million Pound Town Centre Redevelopment

A planning application has been submitted for a multi million pound proposal to develop the St James's area in Dover Town Centre, which could bring more than 500 jobs to the area.

The application was made by Bond City Ltd following public consultation last year; all comments from this process were taken into consideration in developing proposals.

The development includes an anchor Asda superstore, shops and restaurants, a 100 bedroom hotel, flats and a visitor's centre.

At the moment the site contains a vacant multi storey car park and Burlington House office block, together with the Russell Street car park and adjoining premises. The re-development is a key priority for the Councils Corporate plan and thirty year regeneration partnership 'Dover Pride'.
