Dover District Voluntary & Community Sector Network

Giving local groups a voice
The Dover District Voluntary and Community Sector
Network (DDVCS Network) has been set up to bring together
local groups to have a stronger voice and become actively involved
in what is happening in the district - and beyond.
There are many benefits of a strong Voluntary and Community
Sector Network, such as:
- A co-coordinated and strong voice
- Become actively involved in what is happening in the district
(and beyond).
- Building links
- Peer support
- Working together
- Sharing good practice and knowledge
- Reducing duplication of effort
The Network forms a vital bridge between public bodies (such as
Dover District Council, Primary Care Trust and Kent Police),
local voluntary and community groups and residents. Because of
their vital community links, local groups are well-placed to help
in improving and designing services and the Network is looking at
ways we can come together to influence what happens in our
district.
Membership of the DDVCS Network is free and open to all
voluntary and community groups.
The Network was set up as part of a Big Lottery Fund
project which ended on 31 December 2011. CASE Kent will
continue supporting the Network and the good work that has
been happening in the district over the past 3-years of the
project.
