Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a small grant scheme run by Dover District
Council in partnership with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
The programme offers grants from £500 to £5,000 to voluntary and
community groups for projects that can be completed by 31st March.
A group can have one grant in any 12 month period and each
application must be for a different activity.
The application process is simple and we aim to get a decision
within 12 weeks of receiving a completed application.
Applicants to Bridging the Gap must have:
- A constitution document which states that the group
is legally eligible to receive a grant, is entitled to run the
planned project and has an appropriate dissolution
clause.
- A Bank or Building Society account in the name of the
group
- Full accounts for the previous 12 months or, in the case of a
new group, a 12 month cash flow forecast.
Your project should be based in an eligible coalfield community
or be able to show clear and immediate benefits for an eligible
coalfield community that has high levels of deprivation.
