Neighbourhood Forum funding for local community projects

Five neighbourhood forums, made up of county, district and town and parish council members, hold quarterly public meetings to give local people greater power to influence local services and tackle common issues.

Dover District Council and Kent County Council have allocated funding to the Neighbourhood Forums for small community capital projects and application forms are now available. The closing date for applications is the 29th August 2008 – please send in your applications as soon as possible.

Youth Opportunities Fund 2006-2008

"Things for young people to do and places for young people to go"

A government fund which, combined with the Youth Capital Fund, will 'Give a voice and influence to young people to improve things to do and places to go'.

Grants can be used to pay for equipment, materials, activities, transport, staff and instructors, training or anything which helps to provide a positive experience for young people.

  • The fund is for young people aged 13-19.
  • Any not-for-profit organisation making provision for young people may apply.
  • Applications are also welcome from groups of young people themselves, although grants to individuals are not permitted.
  • Young people must be involved in the re-application process.
