Aim: Increased drug awareness provision for vulnerable groups of young people

The DELTA Young Persons’ Drug & Alcohol Outreach worker, is employed through the Kent Council on Addiction and works with 11 to 18 year olds who are deemed to be vulnerable and at risk of drug and alcohol abuse. These could be children of parents/with siblings who use and/or misuse drugs and/or alcohol, unaccompanied minors, care leavers, those excluded or who are at risk of exclusion from education and those in local authority care etc. The aims are to identify why young people use these substances, to support them and to raise awareness of the risks.
