Together Groups

Community group

The “Together” Model is an alliance of public, community and voluntary groups created to bring together key bodies who would work collectively to make the community a better place now and in the future. It enables free exchange of information, bringing together co-ordination to resource allocation for projects, which leads to more effective action to improve quality of life.

The Together Partnership Aims to:

  • Develop a unified, positive and forward-looking vision for the community
  • Identify the social, economic and environmental issues of prime importance for the sustainability of the community
  • Provide a voice for the community at a District and County level

The Together Partnership will do this by:

  • Sharing information, ideas and best practices
  • Supporting and seeking funding for practical projects
  • Bringing together all stakeholders to satisfy local priorities
  • Developing consultative processes to ensure widespread participation in the community

The Together Partnerships have three groups:-

  • Community Safety
  • Children and Young People
  • Community Development

The three groups consist of partner organisations working at a practical level to improve the area. Each group is responsible for identifying relevant issues which can be delivered through an action plan.

To ensure an integrated, strategic overview is taken an Executive Team will be established.

Currently the Together Forums run in Buckland, St Radigunds, Aylesham with work being undertaken to set up similar models in Old Park and Elvington and Eythorne.
