5 schools and 27 students attended Local Democracy Day. Good press coverage was achieved and feedback from students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive.

Consultation on new executive governance arrangements

 

The consultation ran for three months and ended on 28 October 2010 during which time we received two responses from the public. While a greater response would have been preferable, the low response rate is not unexpected given the technical nature of the consultation subject and the guidance from the DCLG not to promote the consultation above a minimum level in advance of planned legislative changes that may negate the consultation objective.

Private Sector Landlord Forum

 

Event took place on the 21st October at Shepway Council offices. Over 40 landlords attended. There were three presentations and 7 stands from various organisations.
