Our Vision: A future of strong economic growth within safe and
sustainable communities
Like many other organisations and businesses Dover District
Council is feeling the full impact of the economic downturn and
uncertainty. Our
Interim
Corporate Plan ensures we take steps and put
measures in place to support our communities and ensure Dover
District is well placed to prepare for recovery, whilst moving
steadily towards our longer term ambitions for the District (as set
out in our
Corporate Plan 2008 -
2020).
Our vision and priorities remain
the same over the longer-term, however between 2010 and 2013,
in working towards the vision, the Council will concentrate on the
areas of Regeneration, Value for Money Services and Enabling Others
through Partnerships.
State of the District
The State of the District report was first introduced to Council
in May 2010 with the revised Interim Corporate Plan; when it was
requested that the report be produced annually.
It should be noted that the report is a backward look over the
last year and not all information is collated and updated
annually and therefore is not readily available. As a
result we have used the latest information available at the
time of drafting.
