Vice-Chairman of the Council 2011-12

Councillor Paul Le Chevalier has been a District Councillor since 2003, first representing the Ward of North Deal and for the last four years the Parish of Walmer.

Over the past eight years Councillor Le Chevalier has served on both the Licensing and Regulatory Committees, holding the position of Chairman of Licensing for the past three years.

Councillor Le Chevalier spent twenty eight years as a Police Officer with Kent Police.  The majority of this time as a traffic patrol officer on the motorways of Kent.  He previously spent time as a motor vehicle reception engineer for the Rover car company and had a brief spell with the Parachute Regiment. 

Councillor Le Chevalier is married with three adult children, two step children and six grandchildren.

Councillor Le Chevalier enjoys playing golf.
