About Me
|
I have a long standing connection
with Dover as my first ever job in the early 1970's was as a
lecturer at Dover Borstal which was then a 'streamed' or 'grammar'
school for clever offenders. I have been a DDC Councillor since
2007, representing Aylesham Ward where I am also parish clerk, and
I am Shadow Portfolio holder for Tourism and External Affairs.
I am particularly concerned to improve local services in
relation to:
- Youth - we can't let KCC close all our youth clubs.
- Cycling - we need a lot more safe cycle routes.
- Local health - we must have a local hospital.
- Dover Port - we must fight to keep it public.

- Beer - I am a CAMRA member who is very concerned about local
pub closures which are increasing at a rapid rate.
- A great concern that there should be more transparency and
