Notice of Standards Committee's Findings
The Standards Committee in cases where it makes a finding in
relation to a district or parish councillor or co-opted member must
arrange for a summary of the decision including the reasons
for the decision, to be published in at least one local
newspaper.
Where the summary of the decision is published in a local
newspaper it will also be publlished on this website unless
the Standards Committee finds no evidence to support a
breech of the Code of Conduct, in which case
the councillor or co-opted member concerned is entitled
to decide whether a summary of the decision will be
published.
The summary notice will state:
- A summary of the complaint.
- The relevant section(s) of the Code of Conduct.
- The finding of the Standards Committee.
- The sanctions imposed by the Standards Committee, if any.
