Public Conveniences (Public toilets)
The Property Services Division is responsible for the day-to-day
management of the Council’s 23 public conveniences, which are
spread across the District. Connaught Environmental
Limited undertake the cleaning and routine maintenance and
carry out regular checks in conjunction with DDC staff on the
cleanliness and availability of the facilities.

Disabled Facilities
Separate facilities for the disabled are located within 14
of the buildings. Access to the facilities can only be obtained
with a Radar Key which can be purchased from any
of the Council's area
offices or direct from the National key scheme. Radar
Keys cost £3.50.
Once purchased a Radar key can be used in public toilets
belonging to over 400 local authorities and many transport, retail
and leisure providers. The key is also available to buy from the
Radar website and costs £3.50 (excluding VAT) and £4.20 (with
VAT).
Baby Changing Facilities
Nappy changing facilities have been installed at Maison Dieu and
Stembrook in Dover and King Street in Deal.
