New Flag Presented to HMS Tracker

The Chairman of Dover District Council has presented a new civic flag to the captain of HMS Tracker at a special ceremony this summer. Cllr Bernard Butcher presented the flag to Lt Simon Tappin on behalf of Dover District Council while the vessel was docked in Dover Marina this summer. Affiliated to the town of Dover, HMS Tracker is the Oxford University Royal Naval unit (URNU) ship. All ships and submarines of the Royal Navy are affiliated to different towns, cities and regions. This strengthens the Royal Navy’s ties with important communities.
