A chance to have your say....

Do you have any comments on the services that are delivered by your local councils? Would you like opportunities to have a say on how services are delivered in your community? If so, then Neighbourhood Forums are for you.

Following a successful pilot year, Dover District Council, in partnership with Kent County Council and the Town & Parish Councils throughout the district, continues to lead the way and has extended its Neighbourhood Forum meetings for another year. There are five Forums in the district, and each continues to hold quarterly public meetings to give all residents the opportunity to have a say in services for the future and to discuss any locally relevant issues with the agencies/organisations that are best placed to listen and respond. Although the district is divided geographically, if a topic interests you in another area you are more than welcome to attend.

Many varied topics are discussed, such as youth issues, access to health care, transport, community safety, regeneration, highways, waste and recycling. As you can see, topics are not just around Council services and we try our best to ensure any issue a community finds relevant is on the agenda. Dates for the Forums will be confirmed at the end of February, and once the Council’s budget is approved in March, there may also be funding available for community/voluntary groups to apply for.

When available, more information on topics, dates and venues will be posted on the ‘What’s on’ section of the.
