Work begins on multi million pound White Cliffs Business Park

Photo of Site

A major multi million pound development, which is set to provide up to 1,800 jobs in this phase alone, was officially launched this spring as work began on a massive £100m investment at the White Cliffs Business Park in Whitfield.

AMEC Developments started work on the 50 acre site, Phase 2 of the Business Park. This follows extensive work with Dover District Council, Kent County Council and a range of partners in the community also including English Partnerships and South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).

B&Q has confirmed it is locating a 67,000 sq ft store to the Business Park and will be starting this summer on site. AMEC’s proposals include the construction of the main spine roads and then a mix of distribution and industrial accommodation to be developed as occupiers are identified.

This key investment will enable further development of phase 3 of the Business Park, creating the potential for another 30 acres of employment space and the potential for another 1,200 jobs.
