The Concessionary Fares Bus Pass Scheme is changing. From 1 April 2008 every bus pass will have a photo of the holder scanned onto it. This is to prepare for the changeover to the National Scheme, which will start on 1 April 2008, more details of the new scheme will be provided nearer the time.
Most of the scheme’s customers now have their photo stored on the computer system but there are still some who have not yet provided a photo. National Scheme passes will be automatically sent to everyone who currently holds a countywide bus pass, and who has provided a photo mid March. Photos need to be sent in by 31 December 2007 and need to be the same size and style as for a passport. They need to be recent, and in colour, with the holder’s name and date of birth clearly printed on the back.
These can be taken to any @ your service office or sent direct to the Council offices in Whitfield. For more information, please call 01304 872122.
