Family Days At Dover Museum

Photo of family dayIf you’re looking for something fun for the whole family this festive season, or throughout the year, Dover Museum holds a variety of special activity days, ranging from making Victorian Christmas decorations to trying origami. The days run from 10am-4.30pm and there is no charge for DDC residents.

Forthcoming family days include:

THURSDAY 20 DECEMBER
VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Make and decorate a wide range of Victorian style Christmas decorations.

SATURDAY 26 JANUARY 2008
ORIGAMI
Try the ancient Japanese art of origami.

TUESDAY 19 FEBRUARY 2008
JIGSAW
Design and make your own jigsaw.

WEDNESDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2008
MEET AN ANGLO-SAXON
As part of ‘The Changing Rooms’ temporary exhibition meet an Anglo-Saxon lady and a peasant, and find out what life was like in Anglo-Saxon Britain.

SATURDAY 8 MARCH 2008
COLLAGE HOUSE OF THE PAST
Use a wide range of materials to make a collage picture of a house from the past, choose from a variety of historical buildings from a Bronze Age Hut to a Victorian terrace.

Dover Museum is open normal hours throughout the Christmas period but is closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
