Internet use is running at around 70% in Kent with people over 60 being the fastest growing group.
People shop, contact friends and bank online, so why not access Council services the same way?
DDC recognises that sending out all correspondence in paper format wastes resources and is not always the most effective way to communicate. And while our Area Offices provide an excellent service, there are people who would prefer to deal with us electronically. A number of services are already available online, for example nearly 400 people have their Council Tax bills and benefits notifications sent electronically, you can confirm your electoral registration online, or submit a planning application.
You can help us further develop e-services with the sign me up campaign. Services currently available electronically will do the rest, and as we introduce more services, your details will automatically be included. You’ll be kept informed of the campaign and will be able to have your say on how we deliver electronic services.
