Climate Change
Business – making a difference

Thinking about climate change makes business sense - things that
help lessen the effects of climate change can often be translated
into money savings. Extreme weather events caused by climate change
will also have a detrimental effect on business operations, so plan
ahead to ensure you will still be able to operate.
Business resilience health check
Business in the Community North East
has produced an on-line tool to help businesses increase their
resilience to climate risk. The on-line
survey asks businesses about seven elements of their service,
including flood risk to premises, financial assets and land, the
risks to staff and accounting for severe weather in the delivery
and supply chain. Upon completing the survey, businesses will
receive a PDF report to help prioritise actions and increase the
resilience of their business.
