Scores on the Doors

There has been much publicity in the Media recently about the various “Scores on the Doors” Schemes that are being used across the country.

The Scores on the Doors Scheme is currently not mandatory. However, various local authorities have been involved in trialling scores on the doors projects before a national scheme is agreed and the Food Standards Agency have recently consulted all local authorities before the decision is made. The Food Standards Agency had intended  to reveal the National Scheme in 2009 but in June 2010 it has still to be announced.

Dover District Council is awaiting the details of the national scheme before we implement it. The reason for this course of action is that we wish to provide a consistent and well-supported scheme and ensure that we allocate our resources appropriately.
