As part of the Local Air Quality Management process, Dover District Council has completed the Air Quality Review and Assessment Third Stage Report, which has been submitted and accepted by The Department of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs.
Under Section 82 of the Environment Act 1995, the Council must declare an Air Quality Management Area where there is a likelihood that that the objectives set out in Air Quality Regulations 2000 will not be met. Section 83 (1) of the Act provides for the designation of the AQMA through the making of an official order.
