Planning an Event

Events Management Toolkit

Whatever event you are planning, large or small, Dover District Council can offer support and advice. The Events Management Group at Dover District Council is comprised of representatives from all departments involved in the staging of events and a representative from the local Police. The Group discuss both internally and externally organised events and from these meetings have compiled a booklet, which is designed to offer practical help and guidance, providing an initial source of advice, information and checklists.

Event Planning Form

Dover District Council, Highway Services and the emergency services need to know of any event taking place in the district, which will be open to the public and/or charging admission.These may require licences or raise public safety issues.We may also be able to assist with publicising your event in local listings.This form has been designed to discover areas of concern and to help ensure your event runs smoothly, so careful completion is essential.

Hire of Council Land

Dover District Council have the following land which can be hired for events:

Dover:
Kearsney Abbey, Connaught Park, Pencester Gardens, Crabble Athletic, Granville Gardens, Bushy Ruff, The Danes

Deal:
Marke Wood, Victoria Park, Walmer Green

Sandwich:
Sandwich Quay Green

Aylesham:
Freddies Field


Fees for hire of Council Land

Mobile exhibition £42.00 £155.00

Deposits are refundable provided no damage is caused to the land or no costs are incurred by the Council e.g. additional refuse collections, increased utility bills etc.
