Clean Food Award Scheme

Clean Food Awards are given to food businesses that have high standards of food safety and hygiene, have neat, presentable and highly trained staff, and can demonstrate compliance with and a clear understanding of their legal obligations.

There are currently nearly 100 food businesses across the Dover District Council area holding the Clean Food Award. It is hoped that more food businesses will soon qualify for an award.

Award holders are encouraged to display the award certificate and a window sticker in their premises. Local residents, as well as visitors to the area, should look for these premises, as they can be confident that the food has been handled and prepared hygienically.
