Local Development Framework
Core Strategy adopted
At an Extraordinary Council meeting on
24 February 2010 the Core Strategy has
been adopted.
This document is the first document in the
Local Development Framework to be adopted, and forms part of the
Development Plan. The Core Strategy replaces parts of the
adopted Local Plan (aside from some of the 'saved' policies) as the
Development Plan for the District. Updates will be made to the
website regularly.
A new version of the Proposals Map, incorporating the Core
Strategy proposals has also been adopted by the Council, however
this is in the process of being finalised. These changes encompass
the four strategic allocations, the groundwater protection zone and
changes to the town centre boundary in Dover.
In order to ensure a comprehensive picture please look at the
documents below:
Please note the finalised Proposals map will also include Kent
Minerals and Waste allocations. Details of these can be found in LD
8/73 on the Core Strategy Examination page.
