Right to Buy
Scheme for Council Tenants
You have the right to buy your home at a
discount as long as you have lived in your home for at least
two years. You cannot buy your home if it has been purpose-built
for older people, like sheltered homes or bungalows.
At present the discounts stand between 32% and 70% depending on the
time you have been a secure tenant with us or any other local
authority, and whether you live in a house or flat.
To begin the Right-to-Buy process you will need to
fill in an application form.
