This District wide Tenant Involvement Agreement is a negotiated agreement between Dover District Council (DDC) and the Tenants for all Dover District tenants, which sets out how they can become involved in housing issues that affect them and the area in which they live. It explains how Tenants can become involved at various levels, ranging from just being informed via the Tenants’ newsletter to being elected as a Tenants’ representative with voting rights on the District and Area Groups.
This Tenant Involvement Agreement represents a major change in the way tenants can have their voice heard in Dover District. It has been developed by a partnership between Tenants, Elected Members, and Officers and will be in place for a period of 3 years. This Tenant Involvement Agreement has been developed so that everyone knows where they stand, what their responsibilities are and what opportunities there are for tenants to have their voice heard. It is seen as part of the process for encouraging more tenants to get involved.
