Job Club and Jobs Fair

Welcome to our monthly job clubs in Dover, Deal & Sandwich

Three job clubs provide invaluable free support to residents looking for work across the district.

There are qualified staff on hand to help with job searching, CV writing, filling out application forms and interview practice.

The monthly clubs take place in the following locations:

  • Deal Welfare Club, Cowdray Square – every fourth Friday of the month (please note there isn't one on 26 June 2026).
  • Dover Charlton Centre, working in collaboration with Dover Big Local – every first Monday of the month.
  • Sandwich Jubilee Centre, Jubilee Road – every third Friday of the month.

Who runs the Job Clubs?

I'm Debra Jennings, a Community Development Officer for Dover District Council, and I facilitate these FREE Job Clubs in Dover, Deal and Sandwich.

The Job Clubs are a welcoming space where your wellbeing is paramount to me and everyone is treated with respect, therefore if you have any worries about whether to attend, please just come and make a visit and I can show you how friendly the Job Clubs are.

As a qualified careers advisor and adult tutor with over 20 years’ experience, I will be there to assist you with writing your CV, job searching, and applying for suitable employment and voluntary positions. I can also help you with college place applications.

I will be giving employment advice and guidance on such things as job applications and asking you about additional skills you may have which people often forget to add to their applications and CVs.

It will all happen in a relaxed and supportive environment, and as the Job Clubs become busier, I will also be looking for volunteers to assist me.

I look forward to meeting you.
