Charter
We will:
- Seek to process standard searches within ten working
days of receipt in normal circumstances.
- Seek to process standard searches via our expedited
service within three working days of receipt in normal circumstances.
- Supply information regarding the progress of a
search within one hour of an inquiry by a client.
- Provide access to our records for personal searches as soon as practicable.
- Return incorrect plans/cheques on the day of receipt
for our ordinary service.
- Seek further information from the client in respect
of incorrect plans/cheques on the day of receipt for our expedited
service.
- Supply copies of searches by facsimile on request
in urgent circumstances.
- Provide a duplicate copy of a search free of charge
if it is misplaced by the client.
- Deal with any errors with openness and honesty.
- Provide a courteous and responsive service.
We ask that you:
- Supply accurate plans with search forms.
- Enclose the correct fee with search forms.
- Identify clearly all optional inquiries to be
conducted in addition to the standard search.
- Inform us on the date of receipt (by 11.00 am)
if you wish to cancel a search.
- Let us know if you are dissatisfied with any aspect
of our service.
We aim to achieve through the above:
- A good working relationship between search provider
and conveyancer.
- A basis for further improvement of our current
service.
- A local land charges service that meets the expectations
of our customers.
