Service Charter

We will:

In Search of Excellence
  1. Seek to process standard searches within ten working days of receipt in normal circumstances.
  2. Seek to process standard searches via our expedited service within three working days of receipt in normal circumstances.
  3. Supply information regarding the progress of a search within one hour of an inquiry by a client.
  4. Provide access to our records for personal searches as soon as practicable.
  5. Return incorrect plans/cheques on the day of receipt for our ordinary service.
  6. Seek further information from the client in respect of incorrect plans/cheques on the day of receipt for our expedited service.
  7. Supply copies of searches by facsimile on request in urgent circumstances.
  8. Provide a duplicate copy of a search free of charge if it is misplaced by the client.
  9. Deal with any errors with openness and honesty.
  10. Provide a courteous and responsive service.

We ask that you:

  1. Supply accurate plans with search forms.
  2. Enclose the correct fee with search forms.
  3. Identify clearly all optional inquiries to be conducted in addition to the standard search.
  4. Inform us on the date of receipt (by 11.00 am) if you wish to cancel a search.
  5. Let us know if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service.

We aim to achieve through the above:

  1. A good working relationship between search provider and conveyancer.
  2. A basis for further improvement of our current service.
  3. A local land charges service that meets the expectations of our customers.
