Big Screen
What is the Big Screen?
The Big Screen is a gift from the 2012 games which is
utilised by the community for various purposes including
showcasing their work, adding an additional layer to their events
and promoting their activities on the Dover Diary.
The screen is not just about sport and can offer many cultural
experiences through showcasing locally produced short films to
Opera's and Ballets transmitted live from Covent Garden. It
also offers educational benefits by linking children around the
country to participate in competitions and can show work produced
by the Children as part of their normal school life. The
content for the screen is controlled by the BBC.
Community groups, Schools and non-profit organisations are able
to use the screen to advertise any events that they may have coming
up or give out information regarding their organisation on the
Dover Diary. Please complete the Dover Diary
form and email it to bigscreen@dover.gov.uk
These forms need to be submitted no later than 4 weeks prior to the
date of your event. If your form is submitted later than 4
weeks prior to your event we will endeavor to process your request
but this is not guaranteed.
Please send your DVD's and consent forms to:
