Clumark Accreditation
What is Clubmark?
- Sport England’s Clubmark Accreditation is designed to recognise
and reward clubs that stand apart from the rest in terms of good
practice.
- Clubmark is a cross-sport quality accreditation award that
ensures clubs provide an equitable, inclusive, friendly, well-run
and most importantly safe environment.
- Clubmark is built around a set of core criteria which ensures
that accredited clubs operate to s set of consistent, accepted and
adopted minimum operating standards;
- Duty of Care & Child Protection
- Coaching & Competition
- Sports Equity & Ethics
- Club Management
What are the benefits of Clubmark?
- Receive assistance and input from sports development
professionals to further your club,
- Improve the clubs current level of structure, organisation and
resources, to ensure it runs more effectively and efficiently,

Clubmark logo and other brand resources to generate publicity,

participation in sport as a healthy activity, as well as to help
raise standards of performance and promote excellence.

Developing links between Sports Clubs and Schools
The Dover District Schools
Sports Partnership (DDSSP) has been improving the quality and
provision of physical education in schools across the Dover
District. Teaching and non teaching staff from primary, special and
secondary schools, as well as parents, volunteers, coaches and
community club representatives are coming together to improve the
sporting provision.
The DDSSP also work with a number of local, county-wide and
national agencies including; Vista Leisure Trust, KCC's
Extended School Services, Kent Sport Leisure & 2012
Games, Dover District Council,East Kent Health Promotion,
Healthy Schools, Department of Children, Schools and Families, and
the Youth Sport Trust.
The DDSSP is based at
Castle Community College in Deal which has recently been
nationally awarded Sports College of the Year. The team is made up
of a Partnership Development Manager (PDM), an Assistant PDM and 6
School Sport Co-ordinators (SSCOs).
