Advertisement of Application to grant or vary a Premises Licence

An application of a grant of, or variation to, a premises licence or club premises certificate must be advertised in the local press and on the premises.

Newspaper Adverts:

  • Must be published at least once in a local newspaper within 10 days of applying to Dover D.C.
  • Must contain the information shown on the example provided below

Notice on premises

  • Must contain the information shown on the example provided below
  • Must be at least A4 size Must be on pale blue paper
  • Must be printed legibly in black ink or typed in a size 16 font or bigger.
  • Must be displayed in a prominent position where it can be conveniently read from outside. If premises covers more than 50 metres square, a notice must be displayed every 50 metres along the exterior perimeter abutting the highway.
  • Must be displayed for at least 28 days from the day following submission of the application to Dover D.C.
