Dangerous Wild Animals

Seizure and Disposal of Animals

Where the local authority believes that:

a) Any animal is being kept without a licence

b) Any condition of a licence is not being complied with

The local authority where that animal is being kept may seize the animal and either retain the animal or destroy or otherwise dispose of the animal. The local authority shall not be liable for any compensation and may recover any expenditure involved as a civil debt.
