Our Childhood Past Exhibition

This exhibition focuses on education, work, fashion and play to
look at the development of childhood. The exhibition includes room
sets, interactives, models, clothing, toys and games to evoke
images of childhood in the past.
The Hornby Visitor Centre, based
at the global headquarters of Hornby in Margate, features treasures
from the Company's archives dating back as far as the 1920s. Since
opening in 2010, thousands of visitors from around the world have
taken a nostalgic journey through the history of Britain's best
loved toys.
The Visitor Centre features fascinating displays, with sections
dedicated to the iconic brands of Hornby, Scalextric, Airfix and
Corgi. Visitors are able to see stunning model railway layouts and
also try their skills on a Scalextric circuit.
The Visitor Centre Shop is a must for the young and
young-at-heart and is perfect for finding that special gift.
