All Dover District Council Car Parks in Dover and Deal are operated on a pay and display basis. Charges are applicable between 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday including Bank Holidays. Parking is free from 6pm to 9am. Parking tickets can be purchased during the free period and are timed to commence from 9am. Charges also apply on Sundays in the Quay at Sandwich, seafront in Dover, Beach Street (both car park and on-street), in Deal and Camden Crescent in Dover. Most of our Pay & Display machines accept the Euro. If a machine is out of order, please use the nearest available Pay & Display machine.

You may incur a Penalty Charge if you do not display a parking ticket in 'Pay and Display' areas, park outside a marked bay, exceed time purchased, park in a reserved/loading bay or a designated disabled persons bay without displaying a valid permit or disabled persons badge and clock, or on double yellow lines at any time, or single yellow lines during prescribed hours (see time signs for details).

Our Car Parks contain a length restriction of 5.55 metres including a towbar, a height restriction of 2.50 metres including any roof rack or luggage box, and a width restriction of 2.10 metres including any wing mirrors.
If your minibus exceeds any of these restrictions, coach parking is available at the following sites:-
Please note that some of these bays are designated for sole coach use
in the summer only - see signs close by for clarification.
Disabled drivers may park up to three hours (not to exceed the Car Park's
maximum period) free of charge in Pay and Display areas in car parks providing
a disabled badge and clock is displayed. Additional parking should be
purchased from the machine. Most Pay and Display Car Parks have wide bays
dedicated to disabled drivers. However, you may incur an penalty Charge
if you park outside marked bays, or fail to display your badge and clock.
There is a limited waiting area for cars with caravans on the Waterloo
Crescent section of the seafront at Dover. A parking ticket should be
purchased for both car and caravan. Dover Harbour Board can be contacted on 01304 240400 for possible alternative parking for cars with caravans.
CCTV cameras are operational in many of our car parks. Although proving successful in reducing the level of crime, no security system can guarantee total protection. Please ensure on leaving your vehicle that it is locked and all valuables are out of sight.
36 of our Car Parks have been awarded the 'Park Mark' in recognition
of the steps taken to reduce crime in these areas.
You are advised not to leave dogs in vehicles, unaccompanied, during
hot weather. It is the policy of this Council to report such incidents
to the R.S.P.C.A.
