Cemeteries and Closed Churchyards

St James' Cemetery

In addition to the traditional parks and open spaces the Council manages 6 cemeteries and 29 closed churchyards across the District.

Indeed the high standards achieved by the Council have been recognised by the Joint Steering Committee for the British Stone Memorial Industry which featured St. James’ Cemetery on the front cover of their publication ‘The Ideal Cemetery and how to achieve it’.
