The seafront area at Walmer is laid to grass and provides a pleasant open area for informal recreation.
The site includes the Royal Marines memorial bandstand constructed to commemorate those who died in the bombing which is used each Sunday throughout the summer.
The area is transformed in the last two weeks of July each year when it is used as the site for the annual funfair as part of the Deal and Walmer Regatta festivities.
