There are continuing financial pressures on the Council.
Considerable savings have had to be made and new ways of working
must be found. Consideration has been given to whether any changes
in delegated powers may be made to reduce the number of
applications being reported to Planning Committee.
Notice
The Council has served a Direction on land north of
Westmarsh Drove Farm, Westmarsh, Ash. The effect
of the Direction is that planning permission is now required for
certain development. Your comments are invited. More on the Directions
Inspector finds the
Core Strategy sound
This is a significant milestone as it paves the way for the
District Council to adopt the planning framework for the District
for the period to 2026.
