A Building Regulations application can be made using either the Full Plans route OR the Building Notice route. Although the overall fees are identical the timing of the payments is different – with a Building Notice all the money is paid when the application is submitted. If you use the Full Plans route a lower plans checking fee is paid up front and the remainder is invoiced after the first inspection.
Please read the notes on the fee sheets carefully, there are occasions when projects attract fees from more than one of the tables – you need to add these together when calculating the total fee.
Certain work does not attract a fee although you still need to make a Building Regulations application. You do not need to pay a fee when the work consists only of work that:
