New Recycling Collections

Plastic bottle and cardboard collections

recycling

Dover District Council is committed to making the district a cleaner and greener place to live and work and have extended your recycling services to allow the collection of plastic bottles and card. You can still recycle paper cans, glass bottles and jars, this will mean that less rubbish will be disposed of at landfill.

A blue reusable bag has been delivered to all addresses along with a leaflet explaining how the new scheme works.

Please use your black boxes and green bags as follows:

Black boxes

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Food tins
  • Drink cans
  • Biscuit tins
  • Sweet tins
  • Plastic bottles (without lids)

Blue Bag

  • Newspapers, Magazines & Brochures
  • Directories & Yellow pages
  • Catalogues
  • Paper
  • Cardboard packaging & boxes

Green Waste Collections

The green waste collection scheme has also been extended to a further 13,000 properties.

A green reusable bag has been delivered to each of the 13,000 households being added to the scheme along with a leaflet explaining how the scheme works.

To enable the new services to operate as efficiently as possible we have also made changes to refuse, recycling and green waste collection days. Leaflets have been delivered to all properties
