Fly Tipping

Fly tipping is 'the illegal deposit of any waste onto land, i.e. waste dumped or tipped on a site with no licence to accept waste'. Fly tipped waste generally consists of large items of rubbish such as general household waste, larger domestic items including fridges and mattresses, garden refuse, commercial builders rubble, clinical waste and tyres.

Anyone fly-tipping waste is commiting an offence. It can be hazardous to the public and animals, it can damage watercourses and soil quality, it looks unsightly and can harm investment to an area and it usually costs taxpayers money to clean it up.

If you spot any fly tipped waste or see anyone fly tipping please report it - the rubbish can then be removed and with your help the crime can be investigated. You can either use this form or telephone our Waste line number 01304 872428 during office hours to report what you see. Out of Hours please phone 0800 807 060.

Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour is one of Dover District Council's corporate priorities for 2005/08. In order to obtain a true picture of anti-social behaviour across the District it may be necessary to share details of such behaviour with the Community Safety Unit.

Your personal details will not be passed on.

The council can only remove dumped rubbish from public land. Rubbish on private land is the responsibility of the landowner.
