Local Development Scheme
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is an essential part of the
LDF process. It is a public statement that identifies which Local
Development Documents (LDDs) will be produced and when.
The last LDS was adopted in July
2010 and has been updated to reflect the completion of some of the
Documents and new or revised areas of work.
The Site Allocations Document was already included in the LDS
but contents and timetable for preparing this Development Plan
Document (DPD) have now changed. It would be appropriate to
rename this Document to the ‘Land Allocations Document’ as it will
now not only identify sites for future development but also areas
of Coastal Change Management Areas. In addition, the Council
has been preparing a Green Infrastructure Strategy which includes
updated open space standards and a new open space policy.
Please note that this version of the LDS replaces the LDS
produced in July 2010
