Membership

Each Scrutiny Committee consists of ten non-executive Councillors with a member of the main opposition party as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

Scrutiny (Policy & Performance) Committee


The Scrutiny (Policy and Performance) Committee is responsible for providing ‘customer focus’ in the scrutiny process and has the following remit:

  • Budget and Major Policy
  • Exercising the Call-In function
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement
  • Scrutiny Co-Ordination
