Recycling

How the Recycle Rate is calculated

Recycling from all our bring sites, kerbside recycling, green waste, other recycling sources (like scout groups and furniture reuse) is weighed. Everything that goes to landfill (including refuse collections, road sweeping, litter and dog bins contents, clinical waste and bulky waste collections) is also weighed. The recycle rate is calculated by adding the tonnages together and dividing the recycle weight.

  Please note: whilst we are in the transition process of moving to the new scheme, recycle alerts will be suspended - please use our collection day finder. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause in the short term but we are using this time to improve the site.
