Finding your way around
- Select a Service
This website is divided
into sections which may be obtained from the home page or by using
the 'Select a Service' menu on the blue bar above.
- Menus
On the left hand side of the page
is a menu relating to the section of the site that you are
currently viewing. The page you are viewing will be
highlighted.
- A-Z
The letters in the blue bar
above are direct links into our A-Z providing an alternative
way to navigate the site and also provides links for
other services that we don't provide but that may be of use to
you.
- Search
We use a Google
search which indexes all of the pages held on the
website.
Browsers
The site has been designed to display in all the most common
browsers - Microsoft Internet Explorer (4 or higher), Netscape
Navigator 6 or higher, Mozilla Firefox. People using older browsers
will still be able to see the information on our pages but text
formatting and layout may be affected.
If you find an issue on any browser that means you can't view
the page correctly, please email our website manager at website@dover.gov.uk.
PDF documents
PDF documents are used to publish information throughout this
site. They enable documents created on different types of
computers and using different software to be viewed by anyone
regardless of the type of computer used.
They are generally smaller than the files from which they were
created and they look exactly as they were designed by the creator,
complete with the original layouts, fonts, and graphics.

Viewer.
Other Documents - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
We try to avoid using Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents,
however sometimes it is useful to download a document (such as an
application form) to complete on your computer.
If you do not have Microsoft Office, you can download
Microsoft's free viewers to read and print their documents.
Changing the Text Size
The text size on our website can be altered by using your
internet browser software. The process to change the text size is
different depending on which browser you are using.
Follow the steps below to change the text size for the browser
that you use to view our website:
- Internet Explorer
From the menu at the
top of the screen, select View > Text Size > and then the
font size you require.
- Netscape or Mozilla
From the menu at top
of the screen, select View > Text Zoom > and then the font
size you require.
- Mozilla Firefox
From the menu at the top of the screen, select View > Text Size
> and then choose to increase or decrease the font size as
required.
- Opera
From the menu at top of the screen,
select View > Zoom > and then large type.
