The Host of the Community Youth Conference 2019

The annual Dover District Youth Conference's preparations are underway, look out for May 2020!

#KeepMeSafe #DoverYouthConference2020

We are organising a safeguarding themed youth conference for all year 8 young people across the Dover district, focusing on ‘Reducing the Risk’ of Child Sexual Exploitation, gangs and county lines.  The conference will bring together local organisations, who are supporting young people, giving the opportunity to inspire and engage whilst building resilience to exploitation. The event will have an outside area with a festival feel, as the students walk through market stalls with live entertainment. We will also have an inside area with a main stage where we have numerous guest speakers coming in.

We have multiple VIP guests who will also be attending the event and mingling with the young people.

The event will be compared by a member of our Communities Department here at DDC, there may be a second compare who will be a special guest, to be announced at a later date. The event has been funded by The Police and Crime Commissioner, Kent Community Foundation and also Kent County Council Member Grants.
