Corporate Plan

The Corporate Plan is our main strategic document, providing a framework for the delivery of services. It is a clear statement of our vision and priorities and provides the context for other strategies and plans that we produce.

We have revised our Corporate Plan to ensure we continue to focus on the right priorities for the district and to take work forward for the next four years within the budget available. The Corporate Plan 2020-2024, approved by Council on 26 February 2020, will come in to effect from April 2020.

The Corporate Plan identifies our ongoing commitment to the regeneration of the district, both physical and social, and also emphasises the importance of the tourism in realising the opportunities for our district and economy. The climate change agenda has become more important in our everyday lives and is a cross-cutting theme within the Plan to facilitate a better environment for everyone. This Plan highlights the focus on Dover Town as the Gateway to the UK/Europe and as a benefit to the whole district.

The plan has been set against the budget and recognition of the potential ongoing financial constraints.

Have Your Say

Our Corporate Plan takes account of local and national factors but is not static and will develop and grow as conditions and our ambitions evolve. We will continue to listen and engage with our residents in order to deliver best value, customer focused services with efficient and effective use of resources.

We will review the priorities in our Corporate Plan annually and update it as appropriate. Your views are important to us and we will consider your feedback during our annual reviews.
